farMHouse Show Rules

Introduction

farMHouse maintains this set of rules governing the exhibition and conduct of cat shows held under the auspices of farMHouse. These rules are binding for all members, exhibitors, judges, and officials participating in farMHouse-sanctioned shows.

General Regulations
  • Purpose: The purpose of farMHouse is to promote the welfare and recognition of all feline breeds through organized shows, where cats are exhibited and awarded according to farMHouse’s standards.
  • Scope: These rules apply to all farMHouse shows, whether hosted by farMHouse or farMHouseiliated clubs.
  • Interpretation: farMHouse holds the right to interpret and enforce these rules, making amendments as deemed necessary.
  1. Show Licensing
    • Application for Show License: Clubs wishing to hold an farMHouse-sanctioned show must apply for a license through farMHouse’s official channels. Applications must include details of the show venue, date, and the classes being offered.
    • Issuance of License: farMHouse will issue a license only after verifying that all conditions of the application are met. No show may be held under farMHouse's name without a valid license.
  2. Judges
    • Judging Requirements: All judges officiating at an farMHouse show must be recognized and approved by farMHouse. Judges are expected to act impartially, uphold the standards set by farMHouse, and maintain professionalism throughout the event.
    • Training and Certification: farMHouse provides certification and training for aspiring judges through its official programs.
  3. Show Entries
    • Eligibility: Cats must be registered with farMHouse or provide necessary documentation from recognized feline organizations for entry into farMHouse-sanctioned shows.
    • Entry Forms: Exhibitors must complete the official farMHouse entry form and submit it by the designated deadline, along with the required fees.
    • Disqualifications: Cats that do not meet the health and vaccination requirements of farMHouse will be disqualified from participation.
  4. Show Classes
  5. farMHouse recognizes the following show classes, which are open to eligible cats based on their age, breed, and registration status:

    • Kitten Class (4 to 8 months old)
    • Adult Class(8 months and older)
    • Altered Class (spayed/neutered cats)
    • Household Pet Class(non-pedigree cats)
  6. Exhibitor Conduct
    • Behavior: Exhibitors must conduct themselves in a manner befitting the values of farMHouse. Disruptive, unsportsmanlike, or unethical behavior will not be tolerated.
    • Responsibilities: Exhibitors are responsible for the welfare and conduct of their cats during the show. They must adhere to farMHouse's standards of care, ensuring their cats are well-groomed and healthy.
  7. Awards
    • Titles: Cats will be judged and awarded titles based on the standards set forth by farMHouse. Titles include Champion, Grand Champion, and other designations as outlined in the farMHouse’s awards policy.
    • Points System: Cats earn points based on their performance in different classes, which contribute to their overall ranking within farMHouse.
  8. Protests and Appeals
    • Filing a Protest: Protests regarding the conduct of a show, decisions made by judges, or rule violations must be filed with farMHouse within 10 days of the show.
    • Resolution Process: farMHouse will review and resolve protests in accordance with its established procedures. Appeals may be filed if the protesting party is dissatisfied with the decision.
  9. Amendments
  10. farMHouse reserves the right to amend these show rules as necessary. Changes will be published on the official farMHouse website and communicated to all relevant parties.
